Below BC got to go to its first public outreach event – the Vancouver Mineral and Gem Show! This event has been successful across Canada, but this was the first time it had been held in Vancouver. The show was hosted at the Kitsilano Ice Rink, and was well attended by the public who came to see and buy minerals, rocks and fossils from all over the world.
We had a booth with a range of activities, from sand core drilling, map making, crystal growing and specimens that we encouraged people to look at, pick up and experience.
