Virtual Museum ID: 19-QM06

Specimen Summary

Ammonites are extinct marine mollusc animals that are part of the class Cephalopoda. They are good index fossils and help in linking rock layers to specific geological time periods. Ammonites most likely lived in open water and where good swimmers.
