Jade - a green high pressure and high temperature metamorphic mineral, can refer to nephrite (pyroxene) or jadeite (amphibole). Often found in southeast Asia, but also right here in BC (northern). Generally microcrystalline or cryptocrystalline - meaning it generally appears amorphous, or without crystal faces seen in other gemstones.
