Pacific Museum of the Earth, BC Minerals Private Collections
In October of 2015, Below BC embarked on a mission to photograph some of the minerals currently held in the collections of the Pacific Museum of the Earth on the University of British Columbia main campus. These specimens are all from across the Province, but are held in the private collections and are not on public display. By cataloguing these images, we hope to show the wonders and scientific value of minerals from beneath our feet!
Below BC had over 800 images shot of nearly 100 mineral specimens. We will be releasing a new mineral each week as part of our ‘Mineral Monday’ initiative through various social media outlets.
