This viewpoint offers good views of the Bulkley River. Road cuts across the highway from the viewpoint are dark greenish-grey weathering feldspar-augite phyric basaltic andesite flows that are interpreted to be part of the mid Cretaceous Rocky Ridge volcanics. It should be noted that Sutherland-Brown (1960) placed these rocks in the Brian Boru formation. Use caution when crossing the highway to view the road cuts
